Sri Lanka Ancient Capital Tour - Anuradhapura was the first capital in Sri Lanka, and was established on the banks of the Malwatu Oya in the 5th Century BC. Influenced by Buddhism, this city later emerged as a powerful kingdom as well as a sophisticated civilization centre that lasted almost 1300 years. The city is a UNESCO world heritage site. When you tour the city you will marvel at the ancient engineering technology as well as ancient art, among many other evidences of a highly advanced civilization.
